Welcome to SmartUtils. We provide a collection of free web-based tools and generators (e.g. JSON ↔ CSV conversion, text utilities, formatters, encoders). We are committed to respecting your privacy and keeping user-provided data ephemeral whenever possible.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Data You Actively Provide

When you interact with our tools you may paste or upload content (e.g. CSV, JSON, Base64 strings, text). This content is processed client‑side (in your browser) and is not persisted on our servers. For file conversions, parsing happens in memory and the data is discarded when you navigate away or refresh.

2.2 Automatically Collected (Basic Technical Data)

We may use privacy‑friendly analytics to understand aggregate usage (page views, referrers, device type). These analytics do not intentionally store personally identifying content you process inside the tools.

3. Favorites & Local Storage

The favorites feature stores an array of tool/generator IDs locally in your browser using localStorage. This data never leaves your device and can be cleared anytime by removing site data in your browser settings or by clearing local storage manually. We do not sync favorites to any backend.

4. File & Data Processing

• On-device processing: Conversions (JSON ↔ CSV, Base64 → PDF, text transformations) run entirely in your browser.
• No permanent storage: Uploaded / pasted data is not sent to a server database.
• Temporary object URLs: For downloadable results (e.g. generated PDF or CSV), a temporary object URL is created and revoked after download or refresh.
• Size limits: We may enforce client-side size limits to protect performance.

5. Cookies, Analytics & Advertising

We use cookies for essential site functionality and, with your consent, for analytics and advertising (Google Analytics and Google AdSense). By continuing to use this site, you consent to the use of analytics and advertising cookies. There is no option to reject cookies; if you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.

• Google Analytics: Used to measure visits, page views, and usage patterns. It does not collect personally identifiable information, but may use tracking cookies. Activated automatically after you continue using the site.
• Google AdSense: Uses cookies to personalize and serve ads. Advertising cookies are enabled automatically after you continue using the site.

If you submit the contact form, the information you provide (name, email, message) is transmitted to our serverless endpoint and then forwarded (e.g. via email service) for the sole purpose of responding to your inquiry. We do not sell or reuse this information. Do not include sensitive personal data in contact messages.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data. Limited data may be shared with service providers strictly to operate infrastructure (hosting, deployment, performance analytics) under appropriate terms. Any third-party tools used are selected with privacy considerations in mind.

8. Security

Although most processing is client-side, we apply reasonable security practices to our codebase and deployment environment. However, no method of transmission or storage (even ephemeral) is 100% secure, and you should avoid pasting highly confidential information.

9. Your Rights

Because we intentionally avoid storing tool input data, typical data subject requests (access, deletion) usually do not apply to ephemeral content. For any personal information you intentionally send (e.g. via contact form), you may request: access, correction, or deletion by contacting us.

10. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect improvements or legal requirements. The updated date at the top will change. Material changes may be highlighted within the interface.
